On April 28, 2025, a pivotal meeting was held at the Westar Building in Kapitolyo, Pasig, bringing together leaders from the Healthcare Training (HCT) team, and the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC). The purpose of the gathering was to explore how HCT is contributing to the development of the national healthcare workforce, creating employment pathways, and expanding collaboration opportunities with PSAC, PCORP, and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The meeting opened with welcoming remarks from Armand Del Rosario, President of HCT, who emphasized the importance of building strong partnerships to address healthcare workforce challenges. He introduced the HCT leadership team and acknowledged the presence of the PSAC and PCORP delegations. An audio-visual presentation followed, showcasing HCT’s mission and achievements in transforming healthcare education through innovative training programs. The session highlighted the institution’s global partnerships, simulation-based training, and alignment with international healthcare standards. HCT’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry was also discussed, emphasizing the role of simulation and digital technologies in scaling training efforts to meet both local and global healthcare needs. Attendees were then given a guided tour of HCT’s state-of-the-art simulation labs, including the ICU, OR, ER, and DR, as well as Virtual Reality (VR) training modules. This hands-on experience demonstrated how HCT equips students with practical, real-world skills while ensuring they meet international competency standards. The tour underscored the outcome-based model HCT employs to produce highly skilled healthcare workers ready to contribute to both the local and global job markets. The meeting concluded with closing remarks from Del Rosario, who expressed appreciation for the collaboration and commitment to enhancing healthcare training in the Philippines. The session wrapped up with an open networking opportunity, allowing attendees to further discuss potential areas for partnership and the scalability of HCT’s programs. This meeting underscored the shared goals of PSAC, PCORP, and HCT in developing a sustainable, globally competitive healthcare workforce, driving economic growth, and creating more job opportunities in the sector.
